I was more interested in the other definition of "lifeline" pots, the guaranteed service in the event of power failures. The ILEC's, must have, and still must be spending large amounts of money to support this service and it's required infrastructure. While the ILEC's are required to provide basic services like this I don't think they can compete equally with cable companies. I suspect at some future time the care and maintenance of "lifeline" pots will be spun off and I'll have to learn a whole new set of acronyms. Thks, Gord
