Fair enough. I know I lost a pile of money playing calls last August and September. I just knew the slide was over (ha ha). This downturn can't last forever... yeah, right!!

And like you alluded to-- executions are critical on options as well because the spreads are so wide, so they do lend themselves to longer term plays and bigger movements. I got creamed by having a poor broker (RF Lafferty-- supposedly an options firm). They are the ones that Bernie Schaeffer recommends. I always paid the highest prices (I thought they were fighting for that 1/16th!!). Between slippage and commissions, I had to make a half to break even. MLJ

AlienTech - re options through E*Trade - I too play options (selling calls and puts). My biggest complaint is the charge per transaction 29.00 is pretty expensive !
