I'm not really plugged into European sentiment from here. Most of the time I am focusing either on the Balkans or US events. What I hear about Europe comes mostly from CNN.

Bosnia isn't very Y2K compliant, but much of its infrastructure either pre-dates computer controls or was destroyed during the war. We think we will be OK. Don't know about the rest of Europe.

So far I have been more successful with Croatian than investing, on a relative scale. But I started learning Croatian more than 7 years ago and only got serious about stock in early 1997. So my 20% gain in 1998 wasn't bad for a rookie with excessive value obsessions.
