Look Out Below Short Term?

Bill: The more pressure placed on the Saudis, the more likely that they will force prices down in the short term. Remember the "Cartel Dilemma"... the only way to instill long-term discipline amongst a cartel is for one or two of the largest players to punish the cheaters by flooding the market and driving prices precipitously down in the short term to enforce compliance. Saudi Arabia, IMHO, is the only player in OPEC that can play this role.
