victor, el. etc.

Basically took the weekend off for golf and about to go out to dinner ith my wife for my 55th birthday, but before I go (and read the final 50 posts of the 300 I've read in the last 2 hrs) let me say a couple of things:

1) EP and EM have previousely stated that CPQ is comfortable with analysts estimates

2) Friday's announcements/downgrades/upgrades/etc. were ALL mediocre at worst . MORE importantly they all pointed to CPQ saying that Jan and 1st 2 wks of Feb were weak relative to CPQ's forecast
Q: SINCE WHEN ARE CPQ'S FORECASTS THE ANALYSTS FORECASTS ..... even IF CPQ doesn't meet its estimates (and no on is sure how the final 6 wks of the qtr are going) it DOESN'T mean that CPQ won't meet those estimates EP and EM said thaey would meet as in #1 above.

3) Unless more in known ... this seems like a tempest in a teapot to me and and overreaction so far.

I AM NOT CONVINCED THAT CPQ IS IN TROUBLE YET ... JMHO
