Mesa cycles are indicators that are included in Metastock. There are several software packages that include them. I don't know the equation, but if you look on the internet I am sure that you can find it. They are a way of pulling out the cycle components in a price. They are similar to Stochastics and StochRSIs. You can specify the period that you want and it will use the price to calculate a sine like wave from the price data.
