Here comes China.

According to DJ, China will cut internet access charge by 50% starting Monday. The new rate will be $0.48/hour.

This will create huge demand for internet access and computers.

SirVinny, I'm not sure about everyone else, but I too put off my computer buy, waiting for the P-III. The last I bought was the 350, and I'm just dying to get my new one. I recieved an email and fax about the new models with 17 inch monitors, very well loaded for as low as 1795!! And the P-II's are going to really be a bargain now!

To All:

Sorry if this article was posted. This article may confirm my suspicions that PC sales might be down - NOT because we have come to the end of interest in Tech stocks, but simply because of the advent of newer technology. (ie Pentium III)

Micron Sees Second-Quarter
Earnings Below First Quarter
By Heather Moore
Staff Reporter
3/1/99 7:59 PM ET

Micron Electronics (MUEI:Nasdaq) warned it sees second-quarter earnings and
sales falling below first-quarter figures because of slower PC sales. The 15-analyst
First Call outlook called for earnings of 14 cents a share vs. the year-ago loss of 23
cents. In the first quarter, the company made 12 cents. The PC direct marketer said
many of its customers were waiting for Intel's (INTC:Nasdaq) Pentium III chip,
released Friday.
