I normally look for books at this site first and came up with quite a few titles inputting "evacuees" on the title line: bookfinder.com Spending some time looking around the web, I see that quite a bit of information is available out there. People can even obtain an e-mail attachment copy of a book titled, _Hitler's Ear and Auntie May's Stomach_, "The manuscript [of which] is now on microfilm in the Imperial War Museum, London, and is frequently used by schools doing projects on the evacuation. Thus far I have only read the accounts of people who came as children.
