"I want to."

If you really wanted to, you would. But, you insist on having the last word, in a way that is so disrespectful that no one could fail to respond.

"But if you use part of a prior post of mine to make a point, and I feel that it does not express my thoughts or views completely, I feel compelled to respond to it and clarify."

This is a perfect example. Imnsho, no one in the history of the Internet has been more fair in quoting prior posts, line by line, than I have in your case. You're not being mischaracterized. You're being exposed. The two are different.

If you don't want to discuss Laszlo Birinyi, don't attack the posting in the first place. If you don't want to discuss the AS, don't post it. If you can't bear to see Hussman attacked (still to come), but can't afford to "waste 5 minutes" defending him, don't bring him up.

This has been a recurring theme for some two years. You want to score unanswered points, expressed either in your own words, or those of others. That's an unrealistic expectation, especially in an Internet bulletin-board type forum. It's amazing, and telling, that you still don't see this.
