I have noticed that when the last day of the month is a trading day. The MM are covering their shorts they have accumulated from just filling orders. I'm seeing that covering going on today. Lots of Z trades between MM's. They had one for 2m at the ask. I also notice they sure aren't given each other any discounted shares which is not real uncommon in other stocks. I still see MM's real happy to buy shares at these prices.IMHO Also another reason that MM's might be covering at the end of the month is the fact they have tightened up some on the rules on them carrying shorts. I think they had to pay some pretty big fines last year for this practice.
