Nancy, I wanted to share a verse with you about the personality of our Lord.

Luke 11:
"37And as He spoke, a certain Pharisee asked Him to dine with him. So He went in and sat down to eat. 38When the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that He had not first washed before dinner.
39Then the Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees make the outside of the cup and dish clean, but your inward part is full of greed and wickedness. 40Foolish ones! Did not He who made the outside make the inside also? 41But rather give alms of such things as you have; then indeed all things are clean to you.
42“But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass by justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. 43Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces. 44Woe to you, £scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like graves which are not seen, and the men who walk over them are not aware of them.”
45Then one of the lawyers answered and said to Him, “Teacher, by saying these things You reproach us also.”
46And He said, “Woe to you also, lawyers! For you load men with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers. 47Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. 48In fact, you bear witness that you approve the deeds of your fathers; for they indeed killed them, and you build their tombs. 49Therefore the wisdom of God also said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute,' 50that the blood of all the prophets which was shed from the foundation of the world may be required of this generation, 51from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah who perished between the altar and the temple. Yes, I say to you, it shall be required of this generation.
52“Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered.”

It seems to me that our Lord did not change and try to be one of the guys for the sake of good manners. I'm sure He would dissaprove, and verbaly lambast the feminist movement and the gay rights crowd.

Aren't we to try and be more like Jesus?

All my best,
Santiago

><>...My dear Nancy, it seems you have not seen the good in

my post.

The good in my post was defending the righteousness of our Almighty Father God, and His precious Son my Saviour, The Lord Jesus Christ.

And it's not always how we see things, but instead reality dictates that it is sometimes a simple matter of how things really are.
I simply presented you with some facts as to their platform as they stands against everything that is of God.And I asked you if you thought these fems would have been followers of my Lord Jesus. Independence has nothing to do with it Nancy. This world is full of strong independent women who love our Lord Jesus. And praise God for them.
"Feminists" on the other hand, have been attempting to rid this world of all, and anything that has anything to do with God. Quite a contrast Nancy.

I only was attempting to show you that the women of the Bible, even with their independence, were indeed followers of my Lord Jesus Christ. They loved and revered Him with all their heart, and soul. Indeed many of them sacrificed all to be with Him.

Nancy, sinners are not the issue here, for we are all sinners, all.
The issue here was your comparing the Godly women that loved, worshipped, and followed, my Lord Jesus with the "feminists" of today
who cringe at the mention of His most holy, and precious name.

And yes Nancy, our Father loves them also, and wants so very much to forgive them of all their God-hating, and Christ blaspheming deeds. And individually, when and if, any of them repent and offer their heart to our Lord Jesus, they are instantly forgiven, no questions asked.! And there is no time limit on that repentance for as long as they live. That's how much God loves all, and wants to forgive all.
It is not the will of God that any one perish. But we all know many will. And I'm sure this grieves nobody more than it does our Almighty Father.

Indeed Nancy, I personally know of the abounding grace, love, mercy and forgiveness, love, love, and more love, that our Father is capable of. But we all must take the first step to receive that forgiveness, which is without limits when we ask for it! His love and mercy knows no bounds. And that's what so amazing about His grace.

Nancy I have posted many a wonderfully light spirited posts to you and they always go unresponded to. If I did't know any better I would think you were always only looking for something in my posts to be contrary about. But I don't allow those fleeting thoughts to control my heart.

If you truly just want to see the good in people and share the love of the Lord as you say, then how about starting with Emile? God loves him too. Doesn't He?

Nancy everybody here knows that there is no love lost between you and Emile, not to mention Alan, and what an example you could be of the Lord Jesus if that love you offered, extended to even Emile. Whether or not it is returned. Isn't that the test of Christ's love. Didn't Christ say: It's easy to love those who love us, what reward is in this?

Even to Emile's wife who had the courage to post here for the first time. Her post was a beautifully thought out post which reflected a kind and loving spirit, witnessing the love of Christ to a rebellious non-believer. (Rebellious in that he, after finding Christ, later rejected Him) Your response to her was not very welcoming at all. You and Alan both gave her a what for, and she held her peace and did not respond back to you.

Although I am sure that there is plenty of good in Emile even of himself, maybe she is the very good in Emile.I believe that maybe through her, the good in Emile might have surfaced And she would have been a peacefully kind, and refreshing addition that this place could use. You nor Alan, gave her much of a chance. You judged her based on who she was married to. And frankly Nancy I was surprised at your response to her. Her gentle spirit had no axe to grind with anyone. I felt badly for her, and the way she was responded to. She probably never knew what hit her.

Nancy, I have to tell you these words in print are revealing probably more to me than anyone here can even begin to imagine, and I do faithfull intend use them to the benefit of all I come into contact with forever more.

And I will start right now:
Please forgive me Nancy for any and all offences that may have caused you to think badly of me. I repent of all my misdeeds, God knows I am truly sorry. I pray everyday that I am a better witness to and for the love of Christ. And just look at what God is doing to me here in this public forum...Praise His Holy name. Thank you Father!! †
I also offer up my sincerest apology to any and all who I have not been so kind to.
Even to you Emile, maybe to you most of all! Forgive me of all my trespass.

But just wait one minute guys...don't go thinking that I will just lay down and take a whipping from now on...No sir. I will still stand up for the gospel of my Lord Jesus the Christ! I will just be more loving and kind in my rebukes, if any rebukes are necessary.

I kept trying to make sure I didn't make this too wordy...But God had other plans for me, and I sincerely thank Him. O How He loves us!!
He is love!

Love to you Nancy in Christ Jesus my Saviour
Sincerely,
Shalom...><>
