Ericsson says China a worry - paper

STOCKHOLM, March 1 - Swedish telecoms group
Ericsson said its single largest market was posing a problem for
the group.
"China is a question mark right now," Johan Siberg, chief
executive of Ericsson Consumer Products, told the newspaper.
Ericsson also does not have a CDMA telephone on the market,
in contrast to rivals Motorola and Nokia ,
which are both selling significant volumes of this type.
The absence of a CDMA may create problems for Ericsson in
the future, he acknowledged.
"CDMA telephones can take half the volumes on the U.S.
market. Clearly it's a worry if we are not found on the shelves
then," Siberg told the newspaper.

If the earnings date is indeed 4/20/99 -- once again, all options players will be "cleaned out" right before they would get a chance for some real volatility.
