Let's hope they can, we all want to see this xDSL penetration to begin
(except for the cable companies)

With Cox@Home getting some penetration around here maybe SBC will try a little ADSL-Lite in selected areas but I can pretty well forget it for my house since they'd have to dig up everyone's yards and rewire the entire neighborhood. My modem is using the last good pair left now and you wouldn't believe where it has to go before it makes it to the pole. No way are you going to be able to send an RF carrier over that mess, I feel lucky that my x2 still works fairly well but even it is getting kind of picky about making a solid connection lately.
