I agree but that's how the market is,short sighted frankly I'm happy it is, so I can make money of this short sightedness.

Edamo, an excellent and perceptive post. I guess you have raised the issue of what separates an investor from a speculator. If I am an investor I own part of a business which I believe will earn considerable returns for me over the course of time. If I am a speculator I own a piece of paper which I hope will be worth more tomorrow than I paid for it today.

But looked at in another way, both are important because both groups add liquidity and capital to companies by providing a secondary market for the initial economic investments. That is, founders or venture capitals ante up the cash required to begin the company, and once the new company shows some staying power, they wish to recoup their risk capital, -- that's where we come in.
