Perhaps Toshiba is taking advantage of the fact that Intel is under investigation by the FTC. One hint of affecting the business relationship, and Toshiba will go crying to the FTC arguing that Intel is using its monopoly powers "unfairly."

Sorry JDN, but in this market, I doubt Toshiba can get away with padding the price on the Intel machine. The company is locked in a pretty brutal battle with CPQ for market share in the laptop arena. Last year CPQ passed Toshiba for number one for a time, I think they are going back and forth these days. As to your point on Intel doing business with Toshiba, if they eliminated majors that don't use AMD they would only do business with Dell...
