JDN,
Analysts drive the market. That doesn't make it right, but it is true. I hate them, too. However, they also are given numbers from the company. You think they'd make up numbers. You really think INTC has no bad news? You think this recent tumble off its' high is manipulation? We're not talking Mr. PINK and Tava here. We're talking INTC. We're talking about big boys unloading. We're talking trouble.

Personally, I sold INTC at 131. It's hovered between 122 and 137 after my sell. Again, I have no position in it, but I follow it to get a sentiment in the techs. Right now, the sentiment sucks and the bottom can't be felt yet.

Of course, just my opinion.

JDN,
Another thing---even though INTC may not have come out and scream trouble, with all the recent pummeling taken by CPQ, DELL, HWP, IBM, MUEI, who do you think will suffer when there's trouble in PC arena?

As far as I see it, INTC has problems unloading chips because PC market sucks. PIII will be a hurt. AMD is a hurt.

INTC remains the big gorilla, but it is not invulnerable.

Remember the last time intel was around this price and it was downgraded?? Probably not, but it happened around 112 (when it was climbing late last year), and no one cared about it after a day because the market psychology was to see GOOD news, now it is to see BAD news...that will change and solid performers like intel will prevail. THESE ARE BARGAIN PRICES, and we will see lots of buying SOON IMO.
