Correct me if I'm wrong but your original point was that your stock showed lower volume when it moved to the NYSE. My point was that NASDAQ double counts volume, and that therefore the true activity in the stock you mentioned was about unchanged.

NASDAQ double counts net trades because if you give me a buy order there will be my print, and then the net print at which I sell the shares to you.

As for your notion that market makers pass the shares around for a while to take advantage of the spread before printing the customer, think about it for a minute. Try to sketch out on a piece of paper what you're talking about. You make no sense. I sat before a NASDAQ terminal for enough time years ago to be able to assure you that what you suggest makes no sense whatsoever.
