John - Thanks for your insights on Julian Robertson and Tiger Management.

If indeed Tiger held 5 or 6 million shares of Intel 2 or 3 years ago, and have paired it down to only 2 million, they have not fully realized the run up in Intel since that time.

I guess the good news is that (assuming that 2 million Intel shares are still there) Kurlak will have less Intel shares to unload as he buys up a ton of AMD - his favorite pick for 1999 !

John,
Can you comment on today's announced IBM/DELL joint agreement? Specifically, what possible effect might it have on Xeon and eventually Merced sales? Will this pact strengthen Intel's position in the Enterprise systems market now that, I presume, each company will be featuring Intel chips in their Servers.
