First, the Archie comic book does not make any claim to present the relationship between God and man. Second, the Bible was bequeathed to Jerry as sacred, he didn't make it up himself. Third, the interpretations of Scripture that he presents are pretty much standard for his denomination, rather than being his own invention. Fourth, comparing Falwell to Manson is a bit much. Fifth, it is an arrogant bit of cynicism to refer to all of this as a con, shen you are in no position to look into these people's hearts.

Absolutely correct, TP, your explanations of religion as it has historically existed are amusing. Religion-based oppressors tend to use specific, dubious articles of religion vs. God to make their point. For example many spiritual people don't believe in the 10 Commandments (that these were some divine life-edict layed down by God, I mean).
