They remember yesterday's immense buying opportunity, don't they? <g> If you ask me, DELL's hanging on for three reasons.

Hype 1: Michael Dell has been on a whistlestop tour of regional radio and TV shows, promoting his company's and industry's prospects. Broadband! P3! Buy stock now!

Hype 2: Splitsville, baby. Stocks that split are worth more.

Hype 3: Dell is now an internet company ("gigabuys"), and soon will be valued on the same metrics as Amazon -- 30x sales. 600% upside! And what if it's P/S goes up to Yahoo's... as good old Ralph Records used to say -- buy or die.

Whew! Punk rock.

There is a positive side to this. Every dip for these guys is a buying opportunity (for now), which ends up cushioning the declines for traders. I just hope they don't give up anytime soon. Based on the reactions I keep getting on the Dell thread, I think they'll keep it up for awhile.
