It seems to me the most obvious advantage of the phone networks, reliability against pretty much most adverse conditions, is the one thing I never see being touted by the telco marketing people. I guess somethings are just taken for granted until you get smacked hard by it's loss. Maybe AT&T, Sprint and the gang should make the public more aware of this strength as an advantage against the cable companies. Just think of those people that go off-line because the cable goes down due to whether conditions (happens to me too) during a tough day in the markets.
