Wolff... you can open a margin account with YAMNER. Just cash out your old one and send in a check to YAMNER to open a margin account. You can always ask your present account to do a wire transfer, but I get a feeling wierd things happen/delays sometimes when you do wires.---- Not Howie

Wolff:
Not a dumb question at all...i Figured i'd chimein.
you can transfer an account that has a debit balance, but you need 50% margin, as though you just bot it that day.
Maintanence requirements are less so if you only have 42% equity you need to bring up equity% to 50% to transferin an account.

Steve
