Another possibility is that a settlement was achieved which involved shares of stock?

This is an interesting comment. This incredibly shareholder friendly company said to AOL "I want this settlement to benefit our shareholders, and not us" so AOL purchased shares on the open market which would not provide any operating cash for BNEZ in their current financial condition.

Somehow I doubt it.
