Pat - I just listened to a Merrill Lynch conference call from this morning with Alan Lutz. Lutz said the speculation that the Siemens alliance was in tatters was "rubbish". Rob

Pat: A doubling of Revenue in 3 yrs commencing from 1998 is not likely to show itself as a spike function in 2001. NN can only double its revenue by the following methods.

a: Pooling of assets with a similar Company. (No gain to the shareholders)
b: Internal growth which at best can be 20%/yr for a large Company.
c: Cash buy out of a similar sized Company. (No gain to the shareholders; nor has NN the cash or cash flow for that size of debt)

Option b; is the one which enhances shareholder value. If this is the preferred option, then that objective needs to be translated into definite quarterly goals.

The story of revenue all in $ thousands is as follows.
----------98---------99
July-----434.-------426
Oct.-----432.-------456
Jan.-----358.-------451
April.---395.------ ???

If that growth was even linear there should be a 33% rise in Revenue for 99 vis a vis 98. These are the facts and no amount of hype can change that. I am sure this will trigger the usual litany of excuses followed by the ATM gospel song by a well known Choir.

Investors have listened to that mantra for a long time. They are now in search of hard cash viz REVENUE & EARNINGS.

Regards.
