john...re: everbody worried bout dell giving away the bto "process"...

please for sanity sake will everyone grasp the simple concept that their is no "secret" process that dell uses...same roller conveyors, same pneumatic screwdrivers, same assembly..can't vary much on putting a box together....the "secret" is when and how the components that will be assembled gets to the start of the conveyor...it isn't a secret, its just inventory control teamed with production scheduling...any major assembler has the ability to implement, but it must be a total cultural change...employees have to think and be more productive...no room for error..that in itself is an interesting old time concept...

we are not talking a "process" ala the chemical or pharmceutical industries which are called "process" industries...

the high tech industry, once it gets to the final product is purely assembly "techniques"...no sleight of hand...good luck my friend...the sun will rise again tommorrow...ed a.
