I don't know if short term it's good news. Short term, INTC has decided to pay twice the going rate for this company. Seems like a high premium for the technology. But then again, what do I know.

Long term, it may be a nice fit.

The main thing to keep an eye on is whether or not the PC makers are ordering the chips. IF they can't sell the boxes, they ain't gonna need them chips. MUEI warned, DELL is growing but not as much as before, CPQ is getting hammered, HWP is growing at 1%. CompUSA is selling less PC's.

I don't know, but all of them cockroaches showing up at the same time are making the trip to the kitchen for the midnight snacks a scary interlude.

The stock probably dropped because people knew there was going to be an announcement and of course the biggest worry is an earnings warnings---some people did not want to take the chance.
