Dell is a wonderful company, but the stock price is too high. Here is one argument:

Hi John,

This is not directed so much at you, but it seems as if 50% of the posts on this thread are nothing more than bitching sessions about analysts. I figure SI would have about a million less posts if everyone did not get so worked up about what these people say. They will not STOP saying it, so what is the point of wasting bandwith over it??? Add another million for CNBC <ggg>. Again, your point about analysts not beating static indices reinforces this! I would say that the glee comment should be pointed at the thread, many need to get real about their expectations for this stock. I believe that is slowly occurring as Dell's stock cools off. I am down to two positions in tech, IBM and INTC. I would be interested in buying CPQ in the twenties again for a trade. Also INTC, maybe a bit lower than where it is today. As for Dell, I posted some time ago that I closed out a long position trade at slightly over 100, and have not touched the stock since. If it shows signs of life again I suppose I would trade it. I did post to NW on the CPQ thread that I picked up some Halliburton a short while ago, the oil services sector seems to be waking a bit.

Best regards,
John
