to say I am pissed off would be putting it mildly.

I'll do it anyways:

boy, am I pissed.

Steve

Unfortunately, unless you have offsetting gains, you can only write off losses at $3,000 a year. I already had a few decades worth of write-offs from previous "bargains."

The $4/share of cash unfortunately means nothing; a company can burn through that in a quarter or two. I've seen companies that start throwing in $9/share of losses for a quarter or two, which quickly brings their book value negative.

CPU management probably sold and short sold through devious means, effectively transferring your money into their pockets. They'll probably flee to the Bahamas, and be untouchable, a la Bre-X.

- Sure is an awful day

Bill,
I'm sure you're a bit flooded with mail at the moment, but if you have time I'm curious how today's events effects your thinking about CPU being bought out in next 24 months.

best wishes,
tom

PS. I've done nicely following your lead with CYBG, TAVA, and IFMX. One bad turn I'm sure will more than be overcome with current and future picks. Keep up the hard work, and thanks.
