"The question regarding amzn is that suppose internet groceries became very popular, why does that mean amzn will get all the business ? What prevents a different competitor in each city ?"

Amzn doesn't have to get "all the business." Amzn has stated repeatedly that they expect that, years from now, shopping will have evolved into 3 main categories: pleasure shopping,(what my wife is good at so she doesn't get this either. Trust me on that.), shopping for immediate need(the 7-11 type model), and shopping for bulk items like paper and office supplies, canned goods, etc. The third category is where Amzn is heading. I don't know why this is so hard for people to "get." It is going to happen. The question should be how big will amzn be, will they survive the onslaught? So far, as this arena of on-line shopping grows, AMZN is doing very, very well, and it is run by a fanatic. It is not a great idea to bet against a guy like this. It s usually a great idea to bet with them. Now if we could get a good entry point, the decision would be easy.
