I would guess that they lean that way...yes. The Y2K hoax has been embraced by the born-again Chrisitian right as a tie in to their lunatic millenial apocalypse superstitions.

I have been reading, and watching Y2K Doomers reactions regarding Y2K. This is very scary, as it appears these people are being sucked into the vacuum of a new cult.

They only believe BAD news.

They discount any positive news as false, or as a conspiracy to reduce Y2K fear.

They trash anyone who points out the other side of the coin.

This Y2K DOOM and GLOOM will get worse, as we approach the new year, and the doomers fears and new members will increase, sucking them deep into this dark hole of Y2K DOOM and GLOOM.

In my opinion.
