I do no think the management sold any of their shares. I searched and can not find any records of any transactions. I think the reason that they throw out the bomb shell could be that some people may want to buy more at even lower price advance of a deal (e.g. with GTW). Look at Level One, it dropped big before the Intel deal announcement. Level One insiders are laughing all the way to the bank at the expense of the short sellers.

cpq, coms, and now cpu, all begin with a 'c' and all companies appears to have let select investors know the score prior to the release of the news to everyone. who knew and when did they know it?

Well my shares are in hibernation too.

Knowing what you know now...Do you still think there is a chance CPU could be taken over in the next couple of years?

They are in a tough business...hopefully management will come up with some ideas to pull this company out of it's hole. But I don't want them to give the business away...What could they do, or say they are going to do, to get investors interested again?

Just looking for answers right now...and not ready to throw in the towel just yet. But maybe I should??? I know you're ticked, but what's the strategy for investor's left holding the bag?

John

Bill: Since this stock is so far down selling August covered calls would greatly reduce further downside risk. Do you feel boxing the stock or writing these calls makes any sense on CPU at this point?

Dennis

Yes, I agree. These leaks are totally unfair to most investors, yet it happens in almost every stock. More investigations need to be done into this. Given the last statement from CPU, no one would have sold like this.
