I kind of wondered about that. It sure looks like all parties are going after Weatherford. I hope the legal beagles have done their homework. It would be a shame to have a case and get scratched on some technicalities. Maybe there are some lawyerly types who can comment on the "sort of chain of responsibility and route of recourse".

BB... If the the jv partners are going after Weatherford and not the drilling contractor, it could mean that the 'turnkey contract' (per se) was strictly for the drilling end...

The supply of goods and services to the drilling contractor must have been separate aggreements with the appropriate parties involved (sub contracted out by Berkley and the jv partners)...

Just my opinion, but I do believe that is common practise in the oil patch...
