David, Wow. that is a long time to wait. Is there a reason for the long delay? Did they need to get through a couple of quarters of earnings or did they need the time to issue the necessary shares? Who has the poison pill for backing out of the deal? Again,

According to the Jan. 19 annoucement, the merger was to close in approximately 3 months which puts us into April, not September.

Where did you get the September date? I sure hope it doesn't take that long. I've been meaning to call XCIT to find out the progress and the milestones to watch for along the way but haven't had time.

Is there any later information?

The gap between XCIT and ATHM shares makes me wonder what's going on. Aren't we supposed to receive 1.04 shares of ATHM for each share of XCIT? Wouldn't that be worth about $120-$124 per share at present values? I wonder why such a large discount in XCIT stock at this point?
