I think that was the movie with Holly Hunter where she enters the beauty contest at the county fair. Miss Firecracker or something like that.

I remember that scene too.

the annual raw oyster eating contest takes place this weekend.

Is there some kind of a prize offered for victory in this gustatorial gulpfest? Olive branches behind the ears at least? Or does one content oneself with the simple satisfaction of polishing off and potentially regurgitating an entire bed of hapless, defenseless bivalves in Guiness world record time?
