Fred, that is interesting your sources told you that VLNC would have had "no trouble" getting contracts since last fall.

Given that the earliest they could have shipped samples "in earnest" was January.

FMK, I recall that LITH received a NASA contract more than a year ago for batteries to go into satellites. Not very big, about $800K as I recall. If NASA is now looking to Valence for mars probe batteries, it seems to imply that they've settled on a new source for their space requirements. Should we say the VLNC batteries are out of this world?
