Ram, That Poison Pill suit wording seems to imply that Philips has already amassed a sizeable number of shares themselves. And have some other support.

Can somebody with better English knowledge (or just better working brain) explain what this sentence means? I don't understand this kind of poison pill.
I've also heard that PHG guys are at VLSI's headquarter right now and some deal could be expected as early as this evening. Does anybody know more?

I have some shares and am holding them tight. If nothing had happened VLSI stock would certainly have risen above 30 later this year. It would be really annoying if they managed to get the stock for 17.
