Tell me about it. One of my shorts just got upgraded by Morgan and is gapped up. My longs are non-existent so at least I've cut my losses in half <G>. I think we may go up on momentum for a while, but unless the market internals improve drastically, the rally is suspect. I'd say Dow may even go higher. But the fact remains that bonds are now considerably lower than they were a few weeks ago. So something has to give. The way I see it, the options are:

(1) Market internals continue their current trend and DJIA and Co will collapse (so short the stocks).

(2) Bonds will rally and the internals *considerably* improve (so buy zeros and momentum stocks, short everything else).

(3) The market internals remain flat or continue to fall, while the indecies make new highs. In this case prey to your favorite Deity as it will be start of a major collapse (something along the lines of Nikkei in 89 or DJIA in 70s).

New highs beat the new lows but only by 5 measly issue, and even that did not happen until the last hour. A/D improved to 2/1 but it is still not good enough. It just means that a lot of stocks were oversold.

BTW, I tried to short some more stocks today but missed my entry point. Also, did you see the action in UIHIA. I more confident now that my analysis of it yesterday was correct.

good luck to all
