Re: CTXS Load Balancing & Wireless Connection

OJS,
You didn't interrupt at all. Nothing to apologize for. That is how SI works.

You say, "If you use several 4-processor NT servers with Load Balancing you can serve hundreds and hundreds of users."

Just as a refresher for me. Isn't Citrix's claim to fame (over Microsoft's in house thin client solution) the, "load balancing," feature? As I understand it, Microsoft was unable to develop this feature up to Citrix's standard. Do you know if this is this accurate? I'm asking because I see MSFT is putting effort into their load balancing feature for Internet servers. Seems like they must be somewhat related to load balancing fat servers for the thin client market.

Also you say, "I use a Winframe client on my portable via my cellular phone. It's not perfect speed (9.600 baud) but good enough for doing what I need to do for client support when on the road."

That's a good example of what I was thinking about. Do you have an analog phone? If not, is it a CDMA, TDMA, or GSM? I think low bandwidth or wireless connection is one of the most fascinating and potentially lucrative markets for WinFrame.
Thanks,
MikeM(From Florida)
