Mike, here are some stats Fleck posted in his piece today:
<<t's interesting to note that the S&P futures closed about where
they opened, the Nasdaq 100 closed about where it opened and
volume again was pretty meager for an up-270-point day - it has
to be the biggest up day in points ever. So far this year the Dow
is up a little over 6 percent, and 5 percent of it came in the last
two days. And today was the 10th time since the start of the year
that the Dow has gained more than 100 points in a single day.
Four out of these 10 days have been gains of more than 200
points. >>

MB, I could not believe Maria yesterday. She rattled her cheerleading out with the usual enthusiasm of someone who just snorted half a gram of coke. But what sent chills up my spine was what she did while walking off camera. She flipped her head back and forth like she had just won an intense argument and was shaking it off. It was the most blatent sign I've ever seen of someone putting everything she's got into whipping up the masses. Tim

thanks,i suspect you are right about what that means.we may be fast approaching the whole emotional climax.i have noticed that in the early morning there is a sort of breathlesness to the "reporting".people as supposed to absolutely lose their heads at the top of a lifetime.that is happening as all objectivity is lost. the only question i think is do we fail and reverse monday-ish just under 10k or punch thru it for one last run.i think the former but who knows.your views?
