Weekend O.T. time - those 1999 (U.S. coinage) quarters (with the designs from various states on the back).

I got one (with the Delaware design) in my change at a Burger King about a month ago. I had completely forgotten that the first five (or is it ten ?) of these designs were coming out this year.

Since then -- nada. (And, I think I have looked carefully at every quarter that has passed through my (not greedy) hands).

The other day, I asked one of the bank tellers at my favorite bank if she thought that getting $40 or $60 worth of quarters, and then searching through them would (probably) allow me to find some of these things.

She told me that among the tellers at her bank branch, they had (collectively) seen a total of ONE of the "neat" quarters.

(I told her I had no idea how fortunate I had been at Burger King that day).

Despite have taken a few courses on probability theory, I did get $20 worth of quarters to "check out" at home. No luck, of course.

Has anyone out there got any of these quarters yet ? (And, which state design ?)

Jon.
