Searle, regarding your E Gold comments,

There you go again painting things black. The cost is generally far lower than the 6% you mention, and why in the world would you make a round trip? The point is to fund your account with metal, then spend it as needed.

Once you have an account funded with E Gold, you can transfer metal to others for 50 cents.

I'm choosing to support their idea. If it costs me 1% a year to do so, big deal.

I'm sure if you asked, they'd be glad to give you more specifics as to where the metal is stored, but most likely not the combo to their vault:)
