helkel,(Warning: This is long and I got on a roll! Musta been the pizza I ate last night! Sorry!)
I agree with there is some stuff worth reading on the yahoo thread, however I think I said that in the bottom of the post?
Thing I have a problem with on all of this stuff is this:
I usually read as many of the releases that are posted, as I possibly can. The problem I have with all of them is the wording! They all talk about we're GONNA or are in the process of doing this or that! Also the inferences made in the Press Releases ALL make it sound as though the companies have cornered Every market there is on ALL the equipment in the Universe!
Add to that people reading the articles and concluding or becoming more concerned that PAIR is left out or no where!
I've read articles on the RBOCS and things that discuss, they are far bigger than people can imagine and they work at their pace! They always have!
I just have a hard time believing that this whole evolution is even close to over! I also don't believe it has progressed to a Revolution!
At this point it may be possible for new developments to come out that could bypass all the current technology! Probably won't but could!
I'm as frustrated as probably anyone else with the whole situation!
However! I refuse to cave in and give up because people come to their own conclusions about the whole state of the industry!
Until I get solid evidence that I am up the proverbial sh*t creek with out a paddle? I just believe that there are two rules in this extremely tight and frustrating situation!
Rule #1 Don't Friggin' Panic!!!
Rule #2 When in doubt refer to rule #1!!!!!!
So there Now I've vented my frustration with the situation! NOW! If venting is all we are doing? COOL!
But if I'm supposed to give up cause everyone else thinks I'm stupid or can't win or don't know my a$$ from a hole in the ground?
Sorry I never have been able to operate that way!
But that's Just my opinion! I could be wrong.
Thanks for listening!
Your buddy,
Jay
Question:
Where in this world TODAY can one get fairly priced ADSL band width in abundance, that is proven and efficient???
If it's not available?
Then who is slowing the Roll out???
Could it be the RBOCS as I've heard because they wish to milk the T-1 E-1 as far as they can?
If this is the case?
Do you think the RBOCS are going to say oh yes mister local customer! BEND OVER!!! Cause we ain't done doin' you yet????
If they are half way smart marketing? They are going to present that they are doing everything they can to bring this to market!! Otherwise their customers ain't gonna be happy with finding out they're getting a bad deal and their so called big buddies are puttin' it to 'em!
There just seems to me to be too many unanswered questions at this point to CONCLUDE anything!!!!
So I choose to watch and wait! I hate runnin'!!!!
ALSO: I hope this doesn't sound too harsh. It's not meant to be that. I do hope it may help us develop some more solution oriented thinking and questions! The conclusion is inevitable as well as the consequences!
