That's may not be as far fetched as you may have initially thought. Didn't Arnold Schwartenager (spelling?) just do something similar in LA at Riveria? How bout Wayne Hizingia (spelling again?) in Florida?
Witnessed a near ace today. A very good client of mine laid a six iron to within two inches of the cup on a long, uphill par three. The ball needed about 1 1/2 more rolls and it would have been dead center. I've been playing since I was six and I've never hit an ace. In fact, I've actually come closer to a double eagle than an ace. My dear old dad, now 70, has two aces to his credit including one just two years ago at the age of 68. Rock on dad!
