Drew:

Next week Frontier could decide that all future customers would get sold Comcast's local cellular. (Comcast and Bell Atlantic have compatible AMPS systems with incompatible digital systems (TDMA and CDMA, respectively).) I want both of them promoting GlobalStar services, regardless of what it is called.

The point is, neither of these companies will promote G*. I shouldn't say that exactly--BAM will likely promote G* as they are teamed with AirTouch, and thus Frontier would promote it as well. Otherwise, Airtouch has exclusive rights--in other parts of the world, it will be Vodafone, or France Telecom, or Loral, or ???? This is not a service for everyone!

I can't answer the Sprint question, but that's a good question.

Drew, doubt you have any need to apologize for mixing G* talk in with the LOR thread--all in the family, no?
Valueman's response to the "reprint" of Readware's discussion was terrific, as all the recent posts have been--you guys doubling up on your Viagra prescriptions?
It seems to me that the frenetic NAZ makes a long term hold like LOR even more agonizing. Very, very hard to keep perspective as all the YHOO shareholders are rocketing down the highway in their new Beemers while the faithful wait for their reward in heaven. At the risk of blowing what little personal credibility remains, I must tell you all that my wife damn near had the bags packed after we saw "October Sky" this weekend. Walking out of the theater, I said "did you see all those failed launch attempts in the early days of the technology; well, that's why we have to be patient with Loral and Globalstar, see because . . ." As her eyes glazed over, I realized that I might be a wee bit over the edge. In the interest of full disclosure, Mike Doyle
