I believe current valuation is fair based on Harmon's user valuation model - I am speaking intuitively based on the following: while CMGI has stake in GCTY/YHOO and LCOS, it is not using this stake to drive people to its sites so I would value these separately from CMGI's other properties - eg Planet Direct and new broadcast venture. CMGI's recent announcements lead me to believe that they recognize the value of users and rather than waiting for the right outside investment opportunity, they will invest in themselves (broadcast venture, Planet Direct) to create users. The users are not yet there (e.g. none of CMGI's majority owned sites are in top 100) - I am confident they will come with time - also recognize that the value per user varies much more than linearly with ranking. Those near the top command much higher $ value per user than those near the middle.
