Thanks for more insight.

In terms of commodity businesses, I was more concerned over the 10/100 Ethernet products than GE. I presume GE would have good margins for the next couple of years, whereas 10/100 (Geesh, don't they give those chips away in Cracker Jack boxes(-;?)? Then again, their 10/100 stuff is for switched ether....

Anyway WRT buyouts, I think that we are in sync in terms of the "value" of PMCS on the market (IP w/o overhead, networking dominance, etc.).

It may come down to whether we believe that consolidation in the chip industry will occur in the same fashion that it has in the networking "box" industry. I get antsy over near term valuations, so a buyout w/ 50% premium in next 6 mths would not be a bad deal from my perspective.

according to my mole at PMCS, they have won approx. 15-16 major designs against GalNet II. Not bad for a starter, but way behind the market leader in FE/GE level 2-3 switches. As for delivery of GE, I seriously doubt that PMCS is anywhere close to GALT. Maybe you could spill some more accurate inside info here?
