Absolutely - If you go back, every time they issue a press release about bid milestones, it has been good for a 2-3 point pop.

In the larger and longer term picture however, I think it is safe to say that the 1st quarter will not be anything special.

Looking back, many of us watched the bid counter as a means of measuring revenue growth and it turned out top be very accurate.
That growth in bids got stale in the 4th quarter and Onsale yanked the bid counter. We longs rationalized that "Quick Buys" were eating into bids and it was actually a good thing.

Turns out that the 4th quarter was dead flat with the 3rd and the bid counter gave it away early for anyone who was watching. If that bid counter is now suggesting a much greater slow down in bids, history says that it would be foolish to ignore.

That's all.

Duff
