I take your argument that one should pay for the stock no matter what the price as long as it goes up. How do you know that tomorrow there will be someone to pay higher price?

As to the price of DELL, there is nothing surprising to pay premium for a fast growing company but excessive premium in light of shortfall in sales just does not add up. The argument is that it was seasonal. If so could you provide historical data on DELL sales identifying the seasonal deviation.

As to my puts. It is a calculated gamble, the risks are high since you have to be right on direction and timeframe. I believe my decision has and is correct. I don't pretend to be invested I am speculating.
Most of the posters here are speculators also but like to think of themselves as investors, with this I have a problem.

Edamo, thank you for the reasoned and informative, indeed kind, response to Stefan. I had the bad taste and judgement to respond to him in an angry and sarcastic way for which I apologize both to Stefan and the thread. Perhaps I will listen more and say less for a while. Thanks to all who post to this thread.
