Very interesting comment from Fed. Guess they're trying to cool the mania with a hint of things to come. Whether they raise rates or not, they don't want to see this thing get more out of hand.

Don't think anyone is listening, though.

Tippet- C'mon....Poole is one of the most hawkish governors who NO LONGER even sits on the committee (I believe)..

His opinion, unfortunately, will have 0 impact on what the Fed is going to do....

IMO, you are major-league kidding yourself if you think the Fed is going to act anytime in 1999 based on all existing trends of current data (regardless of what the market does...even if it would go to 11/12k)....Now, if the current data trend(s) changes, that's another story...

Greenspan appears to partially or fully buy-into the "new era" arguments...Regardless of what you think of him or new era arguments, he is the power here, and, if I am correct with my view, that is big trouble for anyone looking for the big kahuna any time soon...You guys need Alan's help....
