OT kind of. Market is so weird. Chip company fears (largely due to slow down in PC sales) causes TXN to drop 20 points in about three or four days even though TXN is into DSP's. Now, we closed yesterday at a 52-week high, getting back everything lost. Is it herd mentality? Conspiracy by market traders? Stupidity? Just makes you wonder. Oh, for the days of Graham, Dodd & Little.

Patriarch, Think this is so true. Wish industry could stop their arguments. One example is argument over modem standards.. Our modem link is slow. My husband's employer says they won't update because the industry argues still about standards.

"The major hurdles in bringing this vision to bear, said Mr. Engibous, lie not in technology but in action -- in the development of industry standards and interoperability on a national and global scale.

"I believe the biggest challenge we face is for all companies who have a stake in the bandwidth game to work together to bring this technology to consumers better, faster and cheaper," he said. "If we can work through the technical issues and come together as an industry to speed broadband access, then we have the capability to change the world."
